(d) “legal enquiry form” means the form found on the website which a user completes and sends to legaladvice.com.au.
(e) “legal practitioner” has the same meaning as “Australian legal practitioner” in in section 6 of the Legal Profession Uniform Law (NSW) 2015 (as amended).
(f) “legal services” has the same meaning as that contained in section 6 of the Legal Profession Uniform Law (NSW) 2015 (as amended).
(g) “RSS feed” means Really Simple Syndication feed, a standardized system for the distribution of content on the Internet, especially news, from an online publisher to Internet users.
(h) “RSS” has the same meaning as “RSS Feed".
(i) “third party advertisement” means an advertisement, including a banner advertisement, referral button or embedded hypertext reference link, posted by a third party on the website.
(j) “third party website” means a website other than www.legaladvice.com.au operated by someone other than legaladvice.com.au.
(k) “user” means a person who accesses the website.
(l) “website” means the website with the domain address www.legaladvice.com.au.

The information contained in this website is not intended to constitute professional legal advice. You acknowledge that legaladvice.com.au does not provide legal services or legal advice and that you should not rely or act upon any information received from the use of the website. You acknowledge that legaladvice.com.au does not warrant the accuracy of the information contained within or connected to the website and that if you rely on such information you do so at your own risk. You acknowledge and agree that these Terms of Use are to be read in conjunction with this websites Privacy Policy, the provisions of which form part of these Terms of Use. iii) if you are a resident of NSW, QLD or WA who has posted a legal enquiry form about a claim for compensation or damages for personal injury, the information and content on the website does not constitute the publication of a personal injury advertisement.
User acknowledgment – no obligation to respond
4. You acknowledge that, as we are not charging you for our services, legaladvice.com.au does not warrant that any legal enquiry form sent to it will be responded to. You acknowledge that legaladvice.com.au may respond to a legal enquiry form as it sees fit and there is no obligation upon legaladvice.com.au to respond to a legal enquiry form at all.
User acknowledgement – referral fee
5. You acknowledge that legaladvice.com.au may refer your legal enquiry form to a legal practitioner for the purposes of that legal practitioner contacting you in order to provide you with legal services and that in this event the legal practitioner may be obligated to pay legaladvice.com.au a referral fee that is dependant on the type of legal matter and whether legal restrictions pertaining to the payment of referral fees allow for this to occur.
User acknowledgment – time limits
6. You acknowledge that there are time limits which may apply to your legal matter by operation of law. You agree not to hold legaladvice.com.au responsible for any loss or damage you may sustain as a consequence of not adhering to such time limits. You are urged to seek legal advice immediately, should your legal matter require urgent attention due to the operation of such time limits.

You are hereby granted the right to view and use information obtained from the use of this website, provided such use is only for a personal and non-commercial purpose, and provided you do not remove or obscure the copyright notice or other notices on the website, and provided you do not reproduce, republish, copy, transmit, or distribute in any form or by any means the information you obtain from the use of this website.

9. You acknowledge that you, and not legaladvice.com.au, are responsible for assessing the competence of a legal practitioner to whom your legal enquiry form is referred.
10. You acknowledge that legaladvice.com.au is not, and will not be, a party to any agreement you enter into with the legal practitioner to whom your legal enquiry form is referred.
11. You acknowledge that legaladvice.com.au does not warrant, guarantee or represent that any legal practitioner to whom your legal enquiry form is submitted will agree to provide you with legal services in respect of your legal matter.
12. You acknowledge that legaladvice.com.au may, in its absolute discretion, choose to delete any legal enquiry form or email you may send to it.
13. You acknowledge that your use of the website is at your own risk and legaladvice.com.au will not be responsible or liable for any claim, loss or damage of any kind directly or indirectly resulting from your use of the website or the information contained within it or connected to it.
14. You acknowledge that legaladvice.com.au will not be responsible for any loss or damage you may sustain as a consequence of the legal services provided to you by a legal practitioner to whom your legal enquiry form is submitted.
Waiver of legal professional privilege
15. By using this website, you agree to waive any legal professional privilege and/or confidentiality attaching to tax invoices issued to you by a legal practitioner who provides you with legal services as a result of your legal enquiry form being submitted to that legal practitioner. By your use of this website, you further agree to permit such legal practitioner to provide legaladvice.com.au with a copy of the tax invoices issued to you by the legal practitioner, together with a written summary of the outcome of your legal matter the subject of the legal enquiry form you submitted.
Third party advertisements
16. You acknowledge that this website may contain third party advertisements which contain embedded hypertext reference links or which include referral buttons to a third party website.
17. You acknowledge that all third party advertisements do not constitute a recommendation or endorsement by legaladvice.com.au of that third party’s goods or services.
18. You acknowledge that legaladvice.com.au will not be responsible for any loss or damage sustained by you as a consequence of acting or relying upon any third party advertisement.
19. In some instances, the third party advertisement may contain an offer by the third party which you can accept by linking to the third party’s website and executing the relevant transaction. Discussion forum
22. Considering the real-time nature of a discussion forum, it is impossible for legaladvice.com.au to review messages or confirm the validity of the information posted. Please note that legaladvice.com.au does not actively monitor the contents of any message posted, nor is it responsible for any message posted.
23. You acknowledge that legaladvice.com.au does not warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message and is not responsible for the contents of any message.
24. Any message expresses the views of the author of the message, which are not necessarily the views of legaladvice.com.au.
