(g) “RSS feed” means Really Simple Syndication feed, a standardized system for the distribution of content on the Internet, especially news, from an online publisher to Internet users.

(h) “RSS” has the same meaning as “RSS Feed".

(i)  “third party advertisement” means an advertisement, including a banner advertisement, referral button or embedded hypertext reference link, posted by a third party on the website.

(j) “third party website” means a website other than www.legaladvice.com.au operated by someone other than legaladvice.com.au.

(k) “user” means a person who accesses the website.

(l) “website” means the website with the domain address www.legaladvice.com.au.

User acknowledgement – referral fee

5. You acknowledge that legaladvice.com.au may refer your legal enquiry form to a legal practitioner for the purposes of that legal practitioner contacting you in order to provide you with legal services and that in this event the legal practitioner may be obligated to pay legaladvice.com.au a referral fee that is dependant on the type of legal matter and whether legal restrictions pertaining to the payment of referral fees allow for this to occur.

User acknowledgment – time limits

6. You acknowledge that there are time limits which may apply to your legal matter by operation of law.  You agree not to hold legaladvice.com.au responsible for any loss or damage you may sustain as a consequence of not adhering to such time limits.  You are urged to seek legal advice immediately, should your legal matter require urgent attention due to the operation of such time limits.

11. You acknowledge that legaladvice.com.au does not warrant, guarantee or represent that any legal practitioner to whom your legal enquiry form is submitted will agree to provide you with legal services in respect of your legal matter.

12. You acknowledge that legaladvice.com.au may, in its absolute discretion, choose to delete any legal enquiry form or email you may send to it.

13. You acknowledge that your use of the website is at your own risk and legaladvice.com.au will not be responsible or liable for any claim, loss or damage of any kind directly or indirectly resulting from your use of the website or the information contained within it or connected to it.

Waiver of legal professional privilege

15. By using this website, you agree to waive any legal professional privilege and/or confidentiality attaching to tax invoices issued to you by a legal practitioner who provides you with legal services as a result of your legal enquiry form being submitted to that legal practitioner.  By your use of this website, you further agree to permit such legal practitioner to provide legaladvice.com.au with a copy of the tax invoices issued to you by the legal practitioner, together with a written summary of the outcome of your legal matter the subject of the legal enquiry form you submitted.

Third party advertisements

16. You acknowledge that this website may contain third party advertisements which contain embedded hypertext reference links or which include referral buttons to a third party website.

17. You acknowledge that all third party advertisements do not constitute a recommendation or endorsement by legaladvice.com.au of that third party’s goods or services.
